In modern society, the importance of social interaction is self-evident. The female masters, as a group of higher education and greater learning ability individuals, have been paid higher expectation from both society and families usually. However, there are some serious social events for high education students caused by bad social interaction behaviors. Therefore, the study for the current situation of female masters’ social interaction is necessary.In this paper, the author uses social interaction research theories, combines the characteristics of female masters, and builds a model from four dimensions:cognition, behavior, attitude and effect On this basis, by carefully dividing the four dimensions, the author confirms related research questionnaire and interview outline. Then, the author conducts a survey around female masters of four universities in Shanghai, and does some deep interviews for female masters and their counselors. Based on the survey data and interview results, this paper describes the current situation and characters of female masters from the four dimensions. In cognition dimension, it reflects the inaccurate self-position, lack of social interaction knowledge, cognitive biases to different social hierarchy. In behavior dimension, it discussed the frequency, content and other characteristics from different groups respectively. In attitude dimension, it reflects the awareness of the importance of social interaction, strong social interaction initiative and motivation. In effect dimention, it discussed effects and the causes behind from different group. It not only reflects the shortcomings of female masters’ social interaction, but also analyzes the current characters of female masters’ social interaction and reasons for itTo sum up, the author comes up with some improvement suggestions from both individual and universities’ levels. At individual level, we need to enhance social interaction awareness, enrich social interaction activities, and improve social interaction abilities. At universities’ level, we should organize social interaction activities, change tutor-training models, and strengthen counselor teams.
