In order to investigate the influence of different types and frequencies of exercise on the coping style and peer relation of junior high school students, as well as the relationship between these three factors, and based on the analysis of the domestic research on physical exercise, coping style and peer relation, this research proposes to combine the three elements. This thesis selected 116 junior high school students as the subjects, conducted a questionnaire survey, and analysed the data of the valid questionnaires by using independent-samples t test, two-factor analysis of variance, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis and other statistical methods for data processing. The results show that: (1) The different types of exercise have no significant effection on junior high school students’coping style and peer relation. (2) The different frequencies of exercise have a significant effection on junior middle school students’coping style in "solving problem" and "venting emotion". (3) The different frequencies of exercise also have a significant influence on peer relation between two dimensions, peer acceptance and communication fear inferiority. (4)The coping styles that junior high school students tend to choose have a significant correlation with peer relation. (5) Coping style has some intermediary role between physical exercise and peer relation of junior high school students.Based on the analysis of the research, the study draws the following conclusions:(1) Comparing with the junior high school students who do not exercise enough, the students with regular exercise prefer to use problem solving to deal with events, and the students who do not exercise enough are more inclined to use the way of venting emotion to deal with the problem. (2)Students with regular physical exercise have higher peer acceptance than the occasional or non exercise one, and the students who do not exercise enough feel higher fear and inferiority in interpersonal communication than regular exercise students. (3) The emotional coping strategie can mediate the relationship between the different exercise frequencies students and their communication fear inferiority in peer relation.
