With the advancement of teaching reform,core literacy has become a core concept.School adaptation is an important part of core literacy and plays a pivotal role in the development of junior high school students in adolescence.Previous studies have shown that physical exercise can help junior high school students to enhance their physique and improve their physical function,has a good effect on junior high school students' body shape shaping and functional adjustment,and also helps to promote middle school students' mental development.In order to further explore the impact of physical exercise on school adaptation and its internal mechanism,this study constructed a mediation model to explore the relationship between physical exercise and school adaptation,as well as the mediating role of coping styles.Through theoretical construction and empirical testing,it provides theoretical basis for improving junior high school students' school adaptability from the perspective of physical exercise,and provides relevant basis for developing middle school students' core literacy.This research selects two types of urban and township students in three grades to conduct a questionnaire survey.Convenience sampling and stratified sampling methods were used to randomly distribute questionnaires to students.Each student was required to independently complete three scales: the Physical Exercise Level Questionnaire,the Simple Coping Style Questionnaire,and the Junior High School Students' School Adaptation Questionnaire.In the end,a total of 423 questionnaires were obtained,of which 51.1% were boys,48.9% were girls,48.5% were urban students,and 51.5% were township students.Two methods are used for the statistical analysis of the questionnaire,one is the social statistical analysis software SPSS,and the other is the Process macro program.Focusing on the junior high school students in this questionnaire survey,they are classified according to their demographic characteristics,and the difference analysis of each questionnaire variable factor is carried out respectively.This research includes three research objects: the first object,physical exercise;the second object,coping method;the third object,school adaptation,on the one hand,one-way variance analysis was used,and on the other hand,independent samples t-test was further carried out;then the correlation between variables was analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient method;finally,the research object was explored.Using the Bootstrap method to construct a specific research model.The research results of the junior high school students selected in this survey are as follows: 1.From the research results of physical exercise,the students' level of participation is moderate,the school adaptability is good,and the coping style is relatively positive.2.From the demographic point of view,the difference in the amount of exercise among students is very obvious.Generally,the higher the grade,the higher the amount of exercise.Moreover,boys are significantly better than girls,and towns are significantly better than cities.3.From the perspective of mutual relationship,physical exercise and school adaptation are positively correlated,that is to say,the greater the amount of physical exercise,the stronger the school's adaptability,and at the same time,it can effectively improve the coping style,and students will change from negative to positive;coping style and The relationship between school adaptation is that positive coping is positively related to it,and negative coping is negatively related to it.4.The total effect of physical exercise on school adaptation is 0.444.The mediating effect of positive coping style between physical exercise and school adaptation of junior high school students was 0.110,and the 95% Bootstrap confidence interval was [0.062,0.167],which accounted for 24.775% of the total effect.The mediating effect of negative coping style between physical exercise and school adaptation of junior high school students was 0.053,the 95% Bootstrap confidence interval was [0.025,0.087],and the mediating effect accounted for 11.937% of the total effect.According to the empirical results,this study draws the following conclusions: Physical exercise is positively correlated with school adaptation,that is,the more frequent physical exercise,the stronger the school adaptability,and physical exercise can effectively play a mediating role in coping styles,so as to improve the School adaptability.Specifically,physical exercise can improve the positive coping style of junior high school students and reduce their negative coping style,thereby improving their school adaptability.
