As the number of orphans and disabled children in China increased year by year, children welfare has attracted more and more attention. At present the main for orphans and disabled children in China conservation is to conserve the main welfare parenting patterns, the patterns of parenting for life in the welfare of children provides a full range of care, to protect the basic needs of life for the children. However, with the growth of children’s age, they have a lot of psychological and personality defects, such as a series of problems. Under the effect of the patterns of parenting, children in the growth process of lack of self awareness and self ability, welfare lack of suitable soil and the correct way of parenting is to guide children to grow healthily, so life in the welfare of children and normal children compared to the autonomy has been in a depressed state. This study from the perspective of the use of social work of a group of professional theories and methods, in Shenzhen City, a disabled children in the welfare as the research object, their autonomy of in-depth analysis. Through the literature search and the author personally experience in the work here, summarizes the main reason of the current welfare homes for orphans and disabled children’s autonomy in the doldrums are lack of their autonomy and independent consciousness. Through the analysis on the welfare of children’s autonomy by theory, on children’s autonomy of the training for the full range of intervention, design professional intervention and intervention, in this way, children develop their own ability, cultivate their confidence. To set up the independent consciousness, and carry on the omni-directional analysis and the appraisal to the entire intervention process, finally the social work angle has carried on the summary and the reflection to this research process, and has put forward the suggestion.This study is divided into four parts, the first part mainly expounds the research background, research significance, literature review, part of the definition of the concept, the use of theoretical basis and research methods. In the second part, from the perspective of social work analysis the current situation of the welfare of children’s autonomy, and a Welfare Institute Children in Shenzhen City as the research object, a detailed analysis of the status of children in Welfare Institute autonomy and self-determination consciousness and caused the main reason for this situation. The third part from the perspective of the advantage of the point of view of the planning of the group activities, and the whole group activities carried out a comprehensive evaluation. Under the guidance of the dominant perspective, the use of professional social work methods and skills, the design of the four group activities, the development of children’s independent awareness and ability of welfare. In the process of social work specific intervention, the use of the need theory, cognitive learning theory, effectively independent consciousness and abilities of the children carried on the guidance and help children build self-confidence, enhance the self-reliance, self assertion and self control ability. The fourth part makes a summary and reflection and puts forward some feasible suggestions. In summary of the group activities of the experience and insufficiency, reflection in view of the problem of the children in the orphanage low autonomy, in addition to professional social workers involved in, also need to the joint efforts of the laws and policies, government and the Academy of welfare and Welfare Institute staff, for the development of children’s autonomy to create favorable environment.
