Under the background of deepening development and accelerating urbanization process in the reform and opening up,a large number of rural surplus laborers are constantly pouring into cities.More and more migrant workers have changed the previous way of "going to the world alone" or "taking their wives with them",and replaced them with today's "family migration".The trend of "familyization" is becoming more and more obvious, and the children of migrant workers who move with them have formed a special new social group-"floating children" in cities Studies have found that the mental health level of migrant children is poor, and the overall mental health status is not optimistic, among which the problem of insufficient self-confidence of migrant children is very prominent. Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the applied research and practical intervention of social work in improving migrant children's self-confidence.In this study, the basic situation of self-confidence of 56 migrant children in class at 4: 30 in l community was investigated, and the problems of insufficient self-confidence of clients were found by using scales and questionnaires combined with relevant interview data, which were manifested as low self-evaluation and inability to evaluate themselves correctly.I can't accept myself well, and the level of self-acceptance is low;Lack of self-expression enthusiasm and initiative,on this basis, the author evaluates the real needs of team members, starting from the needs of team members, taking improving their self-confidence as the breakthrough point, using the methods and skills of group work, relying on the advantage perspective theory, mirror self-theory and group dynamics theory, and carrying out targeted self-confidence improvement group activities for team members from three dimensions of self-awareness,self-identity and self-expression,so as to improve their self-confidence.Finally,the author tests whether the intervention of group work in improving migrant children's self-confidence has achieved certain results through the combination of process assessment and result assessment, and then summarizes and reflects on the whole study. The results show that the intervention of group work in improving migrant children's self-confidence is effective, which can help clients improve their self-confidence,and help team members to face future life more confidently and bravely. However,it should be pointed out that the self-confidence improvement of migrant children is a process of gradual improvement, and short-term group activities have limited effects, especially for migrant children who are seriously lacking in self-confidence.
