In 2015, the author had the honor to be a volunteer Chinese teacher. The author was sent to a middle school in North Central of Thailand. During the teaching period, the author learned that the Chinese level of students in Thailand is much worse than expected. In view of the present situation, the author decided to carry on the study of learning effects and put forward of the corresponding teaching countermeasures. In January, 2016, the author firstly analyzed the test papers of the Chinese kinship terms of 12 classes, 429 junior high school students in Thailand. In the first part of this paper, the author introduces the basic situation of the test paper. According to the analysis of the correct rates of each word, the compares of the same grade of different classes and different grades, the author try to find out the relevant factors. These factors are: Chinese learning motivation, Chinese learning environment, the time of learning Chinese and the difference between kinship terms in Chinese and Thai language. In the second chapter, the author analyzes the correlation between these factors and the learning effects and how these factors influence the learning effect of Chinese kinship terms. In the third chapter, the author analyzes how to overcome these factors in the teaching process and take targeted teaching strategies to improve the teaching effect. This paper focuses on finding problems-- analysis of the problems--ways how to solve the problems. In the appendix part of the article, the author provides teaching design of "experience Chinese(Thailand version)"-- "this is my mother". Although the study of vocabulary is limited, a large number of samples and real data were studied. The author hopes this paper can provide some reference for teaching of Chinese kinship terms to Speakers of Other Language.
