Based on the practice of Chinese language teaching at Jeollanam-do elementary school in South Korea from Feburary 2015 to January 2016,the author made an investigation of the situation of Chinese teaching and the current situation of Pinyin teaching. Therefore made a description of the problems occured in teaching. Besides,the difficulties and focus of phonetic alphabets were deeply analysised and the corresponding teaching strategies were given as well.This paper is comprised with four chapters. The first chapter introduced the general situation of Chinese Teaching in Primary school of South Korea. And combined with the research on the current situation and the various problems of Pinyin teaching in Korean elementary school, the necessity of Pinyin lessons was pointed out.Taking Jeollanam-do, Heanam East primary school as an example, the second chapter made a research on Pinyin lessons. Based on instructional designs and teaching cases, the difficulties and focus of phonetic teaching were analysised.The third chapter made a research on the difficulties of Pinyin teaching and discussed the corresponding teaching strategies.The paper noted that the difficulties in Pinyin teaching is mainly focused on the pronunciation,including errors in vowels,consonants and tones. In addition, the corresponding teaching strategies were discussed.The fourth chapter is about the focus of Pinyin teaching and the corresponding teaching strategies. The author pointed out that to catch the focus of phonetic teaching,the class atmosphere must be activated.
