Athletics are "the mother of movement" in the title, which included walking, running,jumping, investment and other actions on the development of high school students have a very good athletic ability helpful, therefore, track and field course always occupies more in high school sports curriculum important position. In order to understand the real situation of each high school track and field teaching modules in Taiyuan, the study of high school in Taiyuan 25 127 teachers and 926 students, the status of implementation on track and field teaching, teachers with status, track and field teaching cognitive conducted a survey, results showed that:1. Taiyuan Each school has an average high school PE teachers about 5.08, basically meet the needs of track and field teaching, but there are gender, age structure unreasonable phenomenon.2, teaching methods Taiyuan high school sports teacher in athletics education is still used in traditional teaching methods, less than 20% of the teachers took the students as the main teaching methods in the athletics teaching process.3. Taiyuan City high school students a general lack of enthusiasm for athletics lesson learning.The following Suggestions:1, the number of teachers in ensuring the premise of sports, should improve relevant age, gender ratio with, the implementation of dynamic management, to establish a competitive mechanism, enhance the effectiveness of the work of teachers.2, should improve teachers’ recruitment system, the coexistence of multiple channels talented people. Truly implement teacher exchange system, implement and manage theschool on demand.3, each school should be further excavation Athletics value and function, full use of the characteristics of athletics, the use of fun, entertainment, practical and competitive strong teaching methods, students’ interest in the proper conduct of mobilization, and student motivation is improved, so that students of the traditional concept of improvement.4. Optimization of track and field teaching process, traditional concepts of education to give change, so that teachers from the books as the center to a student at the center, students’ learning are interested in learning target, learn a direction "to make imparting knowledge into students’ quality and ability comprehensive training and education improved.
