Investigation And Countermeasures On The Current Situation Of High School Track And Field Teaching In Jinan City Under The New Curriculum Standard

In the 《PE and Health Course Standard》(called《Standard》 for short) which is issued in 2003,the MOE asks the physical education in high school to stick to the guiding ideology of “people-oriented,health first”. The education should on student,trying to improve the students’ ability of participating sports、physical skills、mental health and the ability of adapting to the society while ensuring the students are physical healthy. The MOE is aimed at promising the students’ balance development of mental and physical health and cultivating the lifelong consciousness of doing sports. At the same time,《Standard》 advocates students to study independently and improve their ability of finding and solving problems during their independent study. This improvement will lay a good foundation on their independent work,life in the future.The track teaching is one significant component of athletic teaching in high school,the continuous reform of which has become a considerable emphasis as well.According to the research of the track education development, several problems have attracted researchers’ attention, which not only lies in the basic facilities but also the teaching methods and staffs. Such obstacles have prevent the educational progress while harming the students’ physique enhancement. Therefore, how to improve the status should clearly be placed at the top of the priority list.As the capital of Shandong Province, Jinan City should absolutely lead the reform and development of the physical education. In addition, it is the teaching staff’s obligation to observe and solve the problems. Furthermore, innovation plays an essential role in the exploration of effective and scientific teaching methods.This article reaches the following conclusions through the analysis of interviews and other forms of Jinan City high school physical education teacher’s basic situation, teacher’s training, track and field teaching funds investment, the venue equipment, the development situation of track and the learning situation of track and field courses:(1)The funding amount of high school’s sports teaching in Jinan City is still not high. It can’t fully meet the growing costs of sports teaching; part of the school’sstadium is too small and the equipment would be aging and deformation, hindered the development of track and field teaching in some ways.(2)For the form of organization, Jinan high school track and field teaching mostly uses the traditional administrative class teaching. The amount of people is large and the equipment is limited, the number of students of the practice is not guaranteed, learning efficiency of the students is not high.(3)For the implementation of the teaching content, the teachers of Jinan city’s high school’s physical education mostly choose sports which basically develop students’ physical. The sports which need difficult skills and emerging athletics carried out less. It failed to cultivate high school students to meet high challenges, to overcome the difficulty of the ability and courage to explore the ability of new things.(4)For the track and field teaching method, teachers are less likely to choice discovery learning method, cooperative learning method, independent learning method. And it does not meet the way of learning says "autonomy, cooperation,explore" which advocated by The New Curriculum. It cannot develop the independent learning habit of the students, consciousness of cooperation and innovation spirit.(5)Evaluation methods are evaluated by the teachers.It is difficult for students to participate in the evaluation.It doesn’t meet the requirements of the students as the main body because of lack of democracy.(6)The supervision of the School Department to the teacher preparing lesson plans is not enough.Most of sports teachers do not have the habit of writing lesson plans.It makes the sports teaching lack of basis,and it is not good for the improvement of teaching level and teaching activities.(7)It is not conducive to the development of lifelong education for the reason that students can’t fully grasp the sports skills.In view of the above problems, the measures are put forwarded:(1)Attach importance to the development of Physical Education, increase expenditure of education,and improve equipment and facilities.(2)Teacher training should be organized by scientific method,and the teaching level of teachers should be improved.(3)Rich content of track and field teaching,and pay attention to the cultivation of students’ ability.(4)Pay attention to the development of students,the healthy growth of students should be ensured.(5)Teaching supervision will be increased, the smooth progress of the track and field teaching should be ensured.
