The view of Chinese changed a lot after the new curriculum reform, among which folk Chinese textbook is the generation and attempts to compensate for the deficiency of Chinese education through folk education.Among these folk Chinese textbooks, the "New Chinese Reading" compiled by Wang Shangwen, "Chinese New Field" compiled by Yu Qiuyu and "This is the Best Chinese Textbook in China" compiled by Ye Kai are the representative three series since they establish their own systems with certain compiling concepts.By means of literature research and comparative method, this article researched on these three textbooks and analyzed their structures as well as contents. Based on the discussion of their compilation characteristics started with compiling concept, textbook subject, theme and compilation style, it affirmed these three textbooks’ emphasis on humanistic spirit, classics and Chinese ontology. Meanwhile, according to the analysis, it found that, there are still disadvantages in these folk Chinese textbooks in primary school, including weak foundation, subjectivity of text selection, attachment with commercial atmosphere and narrow applicability.The publishing of these folk Chinese textbooks plays reference value and offers new thinking mode to the compilation of Chinese textbook in the future, including classical regression and return to Chinese ontology.
