After the new curriculum reform, the compilation of many Chinese textbooks is no longer to Proficiency Training as the center framework, but put Proficiency Training to integrate into other systems of the textbook. Exercise System has become main positions of construction of Proficiency Training system.Since the compilation experience and the scope of the use of PEP primary Chinese textbook, this study selects its Exercise System as the analysis sample, analyzed from two perspectives on the content and structure of the compilation of Proficiency Training, in order to make the implied Proficiency Training system as clear as possible. In the end, provide certain reference for the primary Chinese textbooks compiling.With the method of content analysis, the researcher sorts out all the exercises in PEP primary Chinese textbook. On the one hand, analyze the quantity, type, training strategies and the fit with curriculum standards of Proficiency Training. The results show that:firstly, overall the PEP primary Chinese textbook better fulfills the curriculum standards, but some of the specific skills training, there is still insufficient in quantity and quality; Secondly, the compilation of Proficiency Training to reading ability as the main line, emphasizing basic training; thirdly, the number of creative thinking ability training is adequate, but the training strategy relative to a single. On the other hand, analyze the hierarchy and cohesive of Proficiency Training. The results show that:overall the PEP primary Chinese textbook reflects the ability hierarchy and learn segmental feature, its unit organization and basic knowledge can be supported to some extent the corresponding proficiency training, but the lack of procedural knowledge, fuzzy and homogenization of the training requirements have an adverse impact on the ability training.Based on the analysis of PEP primary Chinese textbook, the article gives some suggestion to the compilation of proficiency training:First of all, present the training content in a spiral way. On the one hand, make careful arrangements in selecting training points and determining the degree of difficulty, make sure they would be presented in a spiral way. On the other hand, the textbook should reflect the ability hierarchy by clear, specific training requirements.Secondly, arrange training content in a structured manner. Here "structured" contains structural arrangement of the interior of the unit, structural rendering of units which have the same (or similar) theme, structured design of training points.Thirdly, arrange appropriate procedural knowledge. Ability is not formed in a vacuum; it needs the appropriate knowledge, especially procedural knowledge to support. It requires the editor schedule relevant knowledge according to the rule of procedural knowledge. At the same time, the editor should timely accept the latest research results in relevant fields, e.g. literature, linguistics, writing, etc. So that proficiency training has adequate, high-quality knowledge to support.Finally, for the training of creative thinking ability:the compilation of textbook should not only ensure the training quantity, at least meet each text has one creative thinking training; but also to enrich the training strategy, increasing the proportion of relevant strategy, e.g."may","alternative","combination","analogy",etc. In addition, primary Chinese textbook should enhance the training of divergent thinking and reverse thinking.
