Reading is a traditional teaching method in Chinese reading teaching. It has been in existence for thousands of years, and it is still in use now. However, with the continuous development and progress of the times, all.kinds of new teaching methods appear while the sound of loud reading in the classroom is decreasing. Reading, as the traditional teaching method has gradually been left out. With the promoting of the new curriculum reform, the voice of "return the sound of loud reading to the classroom" is getting higher and higher. In elementary school grades, students learn to read, pronounce and read aloud, and it is a critical period of development of students’ ability to read.But the current reading instruction at this stage is waiting to be improved. According to "compulsory language curriculum standards (2011 edition)",the relevant psychology and reading theory, this study tries to combine these theories with the specific texts to study on the current status of the low stage in primary school language teaching reading and its’ problems and causes. This study also tries to come up with some reading basic training strategies and ways of teaching reading by using the literature research, survey research, classroom observation and case analysis. I hope this study could offer some simple advice and reference policy for primary school language teachers.
