With the deepening of Chinese reform and the use of official textbooks,all sectors of society become more and more focusing on extracurricular reading for elementary school student.New curriculum standard comes up with that the words of extracurricular reading for middle age phase elementary school student shall not be fewer than four hundred thousand.The official textbook provides for student extracurricular reading through each book's happy reading bar,and puts forward that makes extracurricular reading curricula and require that the student should study from in class to extracurricular.And middle age phase in elementary school is a critical transition time for student to go from lower grade to higher grade.Care for extracurricular reading teaching is imperative.In the latest two years of teaching official textbooks,the author also finds that the school pays great attention to student extracurricular reading,and teachers pay attention to extracurricular reading part in the textbook to certain extent.Nevertheless,there exist problems in different degrees in the process of teaching,including aspect such as the teaching positioning,teaching strategy and teaching assessment of happy reading bar.The author has many confusions in the teaching of happy reading bar.Therefore,the author wants to take the opportunity to take this school for example,targeting at the middle age phase school students and teachers,and carry on investigation into extracurricular reading status of official textbook for elementary school middle age phase students.From investigation,the author finds that the problems are: the middle age phase school students do not have enough time for reading,their readings lack method and lack initiative.And the teachers at school do not have a clear teaching target in happy reading bar,they lack systematic strategic guidance and effective assessment mechanism.With these problems,the author searches for relevant theory and document journals,and puts forward the teaching strategy of extracurricular reading for official middle age phase school students,includes strategies that the teachers will make teacher objective clearly,guide students to make out reading plan,infiltrate reading method,design multiple type of lesson,and adopt multiple assessment method.I hope that I can provide the teachers of the school middle age phase students with some effective suggestions and thinking in extracurricular reading teaching,and promote the students to read happily and effectively.
