Art is different from other disciplines, has its standard evaluation model, but this does not mean that students can be arbitrary, the self assessment standard, normative or has certain requirements, need teachers in imparting knowledge at the same time, to give students guidance in time, and encourage students to overcome don’t be afraid to speak, lets the student really into the art of learning, to improve their study interest.Students in the learning process of experience is no one can replace, it brings to the student’s own influence is significant. "Student self assessment" the use of this teaching form is of great significance to promote the quality of implementation, we need to constantly improve and innovation at the same time in the use of.In this paper, with the development of students as the center, from the concept of self assessment, methods, elaborates the significance and existing problems of paper, emphasized the importance of self evaluation in art class. The article can be roughly divided into the following several parts:The first part, this paper discusses the source of the selected topic significance, background and purpose, combined with analysis of research status at home and abroad.The second part, through the literature research, summarizes the basic meaning of "student self assessment", the theory basis and the characteristics of high school students’ self evaluation, including the difference between the total students and primary school students, high school students.The third part, mainly is aims at the cultivation of the art teaching middle school students’ self evaluation is analyzed, through the research and summary, it is concluded that the students’ self evaluation and self evaluation of the significance of implementing the results and limitations. The fourth part, the student self assessment used in art teaching.The fifth part, mainly discusses the teaching of "self assessment" the teaching method should pay attention to the problems and communicating with teachers in through the investigation and analysis of several aspects, such as "students’ self evaluation" in the teaching of the actual situation and students understanding of the self assessment.The sixth part, through summarizing the conclusion.In the process of practice, through the rich classroom practice and communicate with other teachers, the students self assessment is summarized in the practice of the problems, analyses the students self assessment results and limitations. In view of the teachers’ insufficient understanding, students lack of consciousness of self assessment of proposed to change the teaching idea, the suggestion to perfect the teaching mode. From reality when applying students self assessment mode, select the appropriate timing, using appropriate methods, also want to choose more close to real life, the content of the clear teaching goal. Smooth implementation of the students self assessment is not only need good preparation before class, teachers as a whole class content, also need to students actively cooperate with and support of the school.
