If the parents of students have experienced higher education, the children of these families tend to have better reading habits, more extensive reading and more lasting reading time than the children with low educational level. 2.Urban students and rural students have different learning pressure and learning environment, which affects the extra-curricular reading. Learning competition of city students is fierce and the township students generally lack of good education, not forming a good habit of reading. 3. Rural junior middle school students' subjective reading attitude is not as good as the urban junior high school students', urban junior high school students are more like reading, because they have better family education and public reading resources.According to the conclusions drawn from the research, in order to improve the junior high school students' reading situation, put forward the following recommendations: the construction of rural public library, construction of the class book corner, optimizing students' digital reading tools and content, improving the reading guidance of rural teachers and parents, strengthening teacher and peer reading communications and guidance, to change urban and rural parents' ideas to pay more attention to the students' extracurricular reading etc.. Students' better ability to read cann't be separated from the joint efforts of families, schools and governments.
