Enhancement Of Students’ Employability At G Higher Vocational College For Forestry

The demand for talents from enterprises is increasing continuously and college students are becoming a very important part in the work force every year. Unqualified ability of students or unclear employment target and incorrect employment concept produces contradictions between college students’ difficulty in employment and enterprises difficulty in recruitment. It is crucial to set up correct employment concept and improve employment ability for college students in finding jobs, which is also an effective method of solving contradictions between enterprises and college students.There will be a huge demand for forestry talents after ecological civilization construction has been proposed in 18th National Congress of CPC. As a higher vocational school in cultivating forestry talents, G Higher Vocational College for Forestry will draw more and more attention from people with the construction of ecological civilization construction. This article finds out the problems existed in employment ability among students in G Higher Vocational College for Forestry through investigation, interview and analysis of employment situation of students in G Higher Vocational College for Forestry, proposes measures for improving employment ability for students in G Higher Vocational College for Forestry on the basis of current school situation with combinations of reality of forestry industry and requirements of economic and social development and believes that the school should adjust talents cultivation program by taking requirements of economical and social development as orientation; strictly control basic qualities of students at the same time strengthen the cultivation of practice ability with the core of professional qualities; help students set up correct employment concept and career awareness through students career guidance and finally strengthen the cultivation of psychological quality and learning ability of students. It needs not only to improve their professional qualities but also their comprehensive qualities. For students themselves, they should make career planning actively, strengthen learning in an all-around way and participate in extracurricular practice actively. It is hoped to improve students’ employment ability in G Higher Vocational College for Forestry and help them to be employed successfully through proposition and implementation of above measures.Making research on the employment ability of students in G Higher Vocational College for Forestry and proposing measures of improving employment ability can not only help G Higher Vocational College for Forestry improve education quality and help students in employment, but also meet the social requirements for forestry talents.
