The higher occupation education is an indispensable part of higher education; it is not only a kind of occupation education, but also a kind of ability education. It takes the market as the guidance, and bears the important mission of training practical talents in need of social and economic development. The utility is the emphasis on " individual employability " in the labor market. Students’ employability is the goal of higher vocational talents training. At present, the talents training in higher vocational colleges cannot meet the needs of the labor market. Professional graduates are not equal to the professionals of the labor market needs. The main reason is that the students’ employability is not strong, and this problem is focused on the reaction in the core elements of the training mode of higher vocational colleges.In this study, employability as the breakthrough point, to reform and improve the talent training mode of higher occupation education is the destination. Specifically, By using empirical research methods of questionnaire survey, this study analyzing 414 samples data from the higher vocational college students, analyzing higher vocational graduates employability level, and rethinking the problems and shortcomings existing in the mode of training talents of higher occupation education. Finally put forward reform and advice of the personnel training mode of higher occupation education, try to construct the employability’s personnel training mode. It will improve higher vocational college students’ employability; improve the quality of talents of higher occupation education.This study suggests, employability is the comprehensive ability of the individual. It is the key to get jobs, maintain employment, and maintain the occupation career development and success under the constantly changing employment environment. It includes the general occupation ability, personal attributes, professional ability, and professional’ support skills. Four factors are closely related, one of them ascends, will promote other aspects ability. The survey found:(1) Higher vocational college students employability on upper level; (2) On the whole, higher vocational college students are generally satisfied with their university learning outcomes, their satisfaction of school training is low; Compared with the expectation when graduation,54.2% of the higher vocational graduates present work satisfaction is lower; Vast majority of higher vocational college students are confident about employment, they think they are competent for the job in the future. (3) Practical application of curriculum knowledge, practical teaching methods, participatory learning process, especially practice activities outside the classroom are good for employability.In reform of the personnel training mode of higher vocational colleges, must be pay attention to develop students’ employability, especially general professional ability, personal attributes, professional ability and professional support skills. On building the employability training mode,we can focus on optimizing training methods, optimizing the curriculum system and teaching links, embedding employability into the teaching contents and teaching process; optimizing the teaching way, especially advocating participatory teaching and organizing students to participate in extracurricular practice, stressing on the effect of students’ employability level evaluation, etc.
