Higher vocational education,in the rise in the last century80’s, is a product ofindustrialization in China to a certain stage of development. It has cultivated andtransported a lot of line of high-technology talents in production, construction,management and service for China’s socialist modernization construction. However, inreality, people don’t sing high praise for social recognition of higher vocational education.on the one hand, on the job market, enterprises has complained that there are not enoughsuitable technology workers, on the other hand, students of high vocational havecomplained that they cannot find the ideal job, there are some contradictions betweensupply and demand. Primary method of resolving this contradiction is to improve theemployability of students in higher vocational colleges to meet enterprise needs,achieve successful employment of students and improve the quality of employment.This article taking employability as perspective views, taking the social recognitionof improving higher vocational education as the purpose,taking the employability ofenhancing students as a starting point and ultimate goal, talked about students ’employability from three aspects in-depth discussion. The first identified the talentscultivation objective of higher vocational education, gave precise definition of theemployment competence of higher vocational students, analysis basic requirements ofthe students ’ employability, discussed the relationship between the essentialrequirements, and explained the significance of improving the employability ofvocational college students. In the second,the article explained the differences betweenthe students in high vocational and non-vocational compared to what the competitiveadvantages and disadvantages are in employment, on the premise of accurate orientationof higher vocational education level analysis of causes of high vocational studentsemployment competitiveness is not strong. The third on the basis of the first two parts toexplore approaches to improving the employability of vocational college students and thecountermeasure of advocates from the start with the three levels of Government, schools,students, respectively, to take practical and effective measures. This article is full of highvocational students employment on a competitive basis, looking back at the high vocational education and clear position in the higher vocational education in China’shigher education system, identified the talent training goal and orientation of highervocational education.Raising the employability of students in higher vocational colleges is needs ofChina’s economic development, is the needs of scientific and technological progress, isenriching and developing needs of the higher education system, is survival in highervocational colleges under the condition of market economy and development andincrease employment rate of students in higher vocational colleges need. We mustpay attention to this and continue to enhance students ’ employability, and provide stabletalents for our country.
