Secondary voctional education undertake the important task of training technical personel, and the development of teachers’ teaching ability directly influence the development of vocational education and the quality of students. So the development of teachers’ teaching ability in secondary vocational schools is a valuable research issue. In the era of educational information, technology has become an important teaching tool. In 2005, Mishra and Koehler added TK to PCK and get TPACK, which emphasizes the ability of teachers’technology integration. It provides a new perspective for the development of teachers’ teaching ability. This paper attempts from the perspective of TPACK, take two methods of questionnaire investigation and case study, in order to understand the situation of teaching ability of teachers in secondary vocational schools. Then, this paper find out the existing problems and try to carry on the reason analysis. Finally, the development of strategies are discussed based on the literature research, the opinions of the experts and my practical experience.The study consists of five chapters, including:Chapter one, introduction. This chapter briefly describes the research background, the research problem, the research purpose and significance and the structure of the paper. The second chapter, related research foundation. Check and sort of "secondary vocational school teachers’teaching ability development" and "TPACK" related research literature, to lay the theoretical basis for this study. The third chapter, investigation of the present situation. This study adopts two methods which is questionnaire survey and case study, and survey the current situation of teachers’ teaching ability in secondary vocational schools from the perspective of TPACK. The questionnaire, the main reference the existing results at home and abroad, combined with teachers teaching characteristics and the relevant vocational teachers ability standard to make appropriate modifications. The survey results are analyzed by means of SPSS 17 to get overall features and differences, content analysis of the interview results. The fourth chapter, development strategy. After an investigation found that the status of teachers in secondary vocational schools in the middle level of TPACK, the degree of the integration of TK,PK and CK, especially the integration of TK and other two kinds of knowledge. Thus, there are some problems about the teachers’ ability of TPACK. The reasons for these problems are:the traditional teaching idea obstacle; teachers lack the experience of enterprise; the lack of high-quality teaching resources; technical training lack effectiveness and pertinence; teachers of technology integration lost. Therefore, the author puts forward some suggestions:under the guidance of TPACK, lead the development of teaching ability; normalization of school enterprise cooperation, improve the ability of practical teaching; construction of teaching resource storehouse, strengthen ability of resource application; reforming the training mode of the educational, strengthen technology integration capability; TPACK guide practice, improve teaching implemented ability. The fifth chapter, Research summary and prospect. A summary of the research identify shortcomings, prospects the next research.
