Model education is an educational activity.On the basis of following the law of educatees’physical and mental development and personality differences,educators guide educatees to imitate models’behaviors and learn from models’mental qualities.Model education aims at making educatees form ideological and moral qualities,which conform to the requirements of social development.Model education is a good tradition of Ideological and Political Education,which is of great significance to help teenagers to form good ideological and moral qualities.For a long time,the Ideological and Political Education have paid attention to the teenagers’ model education and have achieved good results.However,with people’s values increasingly diversified during the period of social transition,there have been some problems in the teenagers’model education.How to solve these problems to strengthen the teenagers’model education has become an important theoretical and practical issue of Ideological and Political Education in the new era.This thesis discusses the problems and countermeasures on teenagers’model education in the new era.In addition to the introduction,this thesis consists of three parts.In the first part,this thesis explains the concept of the model and the model education,as well as the theoretical basis of model education,then this thesis expounds the significance of the teenagers’model education.This thesis holds that teenagers’model education is helpful for teenagers to form good moral characters,to establish correct values,to form healthy personalities and to promote their all-round developments.In the second part,this thesis analyses the problems and reasons of teenagers’model education in the new era.This thesis argues that the main problems of the teenagers’model education in the new era are as follows:the goal of the model education is too high;the content is thin;the method is single;the practical activities are weak.The reasons leading to these problems are various,mainly including:diversified values during the period of social transition brings challenges to the model education;the particularity of the teenagers in the new era increases the difficulty of the model education;the educator doesn’t play his or her full role in the model education;the social environment isn’t conducive to strengthening the effect of the model education.In the third part,this thesis puts forward some countermeasures for strengthening the teenagers’model education:to determine appropriate target for teenagers’model education;to enrich the content;to improve the method;to give full play to the role of educators in the model education;to actively carry out practical activities in the model education;to optimize the social environment of the model education.
