Social Work Intervene To Juvenile Community Correction

In the process of socialization, minor group will have behavioral deviation because of their physiological and psychological instability and they can influenced by peer group, family, school, social environment and mass media. Especially in the critical period of economic and social transition, this phenomenon is more prominent. Since 2003, we learned from foreign experience and began to explore the localization of community corrections. With the continuous development of community correction practice, the research on the community correction is more and more and the research scope has been expanded. However, the research on community correction for juvenile offenders is relatively small.From the perspective of social work to study the community correction is the requirement of social work itself. Through the exploration of social work intervention to juvenile community correction can not only promote the smooth correction, but also continue to promote the development of social work, constantly enrich social work theory, professional skills, and working methods. Carrying out minor community correction work can help minors to successfully integrate into the community, to achieve socialization, to grow up healthy.Through the practice experience of H judicial institute, we take a minor correction object as an example. Through a large number of observations and several interviews, and access to extensive literature, we find his problems with the help of the staff, then develop appropriate corrective strategies. Eventually he returned to his normal life. Through my own internship experience, we can be able to understand the shortcoming that H justice have in the process of community correction and challenges that social work have to face in the community correction practice.From the perspective of social work, we can analyze the advantages of social work in the minor community correction, summarize the status of juvenile community correction and the plight they have face, explore the way how to make social work more effective intervention to juvenile community correction. The framework of the thesis can be divided into six parts. The first part is mainly about the literature review of community corrections. The second part, introducing the relevant theories of social work intervention to the community correction of minors. The third part, analyzing the current situation and predicament of the juvenile community correction. The fourth part, introducing the advantages of social work intervention to community correction. The fifth part is the case analysis of minor community correction. The last part, putting forward the corresponding countermeasures to improve the juvenile community correction.
