The integration of information technology and education has been through various aspects of teaching and learning with the continuous deepening of education information work. The construction of teaching resources have been renewed over and over again, ranging from traditional paper resources, picture-illustrated E-resources, digital education website integrated with audios, videos and flash to the new interactive E-book with richmedia. In recent years e-books are very popular on professional selling platforms such as Amazon. In 2020 the E-book releasement will exceed the publication of traditional print books.E-book has advantages such as large capacity, paper saving, easy to carry and spread and strong human-computer interaction, bringing a new experience of reading to its users. But there are many deficiencies in the e-book, such as that the format standards are not uniform, the reader is limited and copyright ownership issues, the resource form cannot keep up with technological innovation, the human computer interaction is weak, the operator interface is not friendly, some of the individual needs of readers are ignored and so on, which becomes a barrier to the development of e-books in the era of knowledge economy.This dissertation introduced the theory of customizable e-textbooks, and integrated the e-book with the textbooks based on the EPUB3 format standard. By using MFC, HTML5 and some other technologies, the resource and system construction of customizable e-textbooks were designed and implemented. The main contents of this dissertation are as follow:1. The research background and the current situation of domestic and foreign researches are discussed, the related theories of the customizable e-textbooks are analyzed, and the technology used in the system construction is introduced.2. Based on the characteristics of personalized classroom resources construction needs and learning, combined with textbook knowledge outline, the demand analysis of the resources and system functions for the customizable e-textbooks development system are proposed, and a system framework with novel functions such as component-based resources, intelligent recommendation and interactive simulation experiments and exercises is introduced.3. Specifically, the design of rich_media resources system is introduced from three perspectives, which are resource storage, retrieval and download, respectively.4. The designed and implement of the system server, client is presented.On the basis of in-depth study of EPUB3 standard, the component-based resources and intelligent recommended mechanism, HTML5 and some other key techniques, this dissertation presents the design and implementation of an e-textbooks development system with multiple benefits. It can satisfy the needs of learners in and after class, covering the shortage of the current e-book in education.
