After the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) came in power in 1994, Ethiopian vocational education still exists some problems that teaching quality is not high, education is out of keeping with economic, there are lacking of education funding and other issues. With the development of China-Africa cooperation in education, we look forward to that it will have a great cooperation between China and Ethiopia.This study takes comparative analysis, literature analysis method as methods, takes development of vocational education since EPRDF ruling as the main line. Through data collection, literature analysis, we can comb the achievements of Ethiopia vocational education in the scale and quality and analyze the existing problems and challenges.The study is divided into five parts. Introduction part includes the research reason, significance, the core definition, domestic and overseas literature review and research ideas and methods. The first chapter is about historical transformation of Ethiopia vocational education that mainly about Ethiopian vocational education development path from the reign of emperor Selassie to the period of military rule to EPRDF initial ruling. The second chapter is the main focus of this study, mainly about the development of Ethiopian vocational education in education scale and education quality since 21th century, which includes three parts:school-running system of Ethiopia vocational education, the Ethiopia vocational education development scale and assurance of Ethiopia vocational education development quality. The third chapter is to summarize up influence factors for sustainable development of Ethiopia vocational education from Ethiopia itself and environmental factors. The fourth chapter as conclusion is to point out that China and Ethiopia can exchange and cooperate in the field of vocational education to boost the healthy development of Ethiopia vocational education.
