The Study About Projects Supervision Of Social Work In China Take "Da Ai Zhi Xing" As An Example

Social work has been rapid development in China in hundred years since 1920,which put forward higher requirements for social work. The building of social work professional talents need the supports of social work supervision,but the current situations of social work supervision are not optimistic,which have many problems.The academic circles focused on practicum supervision of social work, leads to the lack researches of social work practice supervision.This research was a study about project supervision of social work,which took "Da Ai Zhi Xing" as a case, the case study of qualitative research was used as method,and data were collected using interviews and participant observation.The researcher carried out interview with 9 person which include the leader,the social workers,interns and the supervisors, in order to know their needs,the qualifications of project supervision, the relationships, what kind of service that project supervisors provided and how they provided their supervision, and how the effects were,and what the problems were. The researcher has found that it was a "multiple-needs-based" mode of social work project supervision. Its "multiple" mainly focused on the value of Supervisors,objectives,supervision relationship and the methods of supervision etc. Although the standards of project supervision assessments were not clearly defined,they were also multiple."Needs-based" mode was mainly focused on two aspects:the theory and contents:the theory of project supervision system was also depending on the specific needs of the project context-specific;the contents of the project supervision which have satisfied their needs about the project sponsors,the project organizers and the supervisors themselves and were involved in policy supervision,the supervision of project management, project services and building teams of social work talented person." Multiple·Needs-based" mode of social work project supervision was a meaningful attempt to standardized construction of social work project supervision, it allowed the concepts of project more in-depth social workers, into the community. Of course, the study also found it has restrictions which include the supervision fell behind the needs, it wasn’t rich and systematic that lacked of infrastructure knowledge system, the effect was limited by supervision methods and it was different form the supervisors and social workers in the services.In order to solve those issues, promote the future development of projects supervision in Mainland China,and satisfy the needs of the social workers,the researcher makes suggestions from policy level and practical level.
