A Study On Parents’ Role Awareness And Behavior Of Primary School Students

Since ancient times family education is very important for our country, and stories and books on family education are beyond count. In contemporary China, family education still plays an important role in the education of children, but many parents lost their way in the family education, such as some of them play the wrong roles, some of them use the wrong method, which restrain the development of children, and affect the parent-child relationship. All these problems reflect that the role of parents in family education is worthy of our attention and conduct in-depth analysis discussion.This article uses a questionnaire survey method, the parents are drawn from Beishan primary school in Yanji one to six grades each two classes (a total of 684), to understand the development level of the role awareness and behavior of primary school students’ parents, the difference of role awareness and behavior among different groups of parents, and the supporting factors of the parents’ role awareness and behavior.And combined with the interview survey method, discussed the problems and causes of parents’ role awareness and behaviorThe survey found that,①older parents role awareness and behavior is relatively poor level,(2)less educated parents role awareness and behavior is relatively poor level③primary school students’ parents "learning aid" and "game players" role behavior levels are relatively low,④part parents’ role behavior lags behind its role awareness.Through the analysis and discussion, three conclusions are formed.①the role awareness and behavior level of primary school students showed a trend of gradually decreasing.②A considerable part of the primary school students’ parents’ role behavior level lag behind the level of role awareness③primary school students’ parents with low education and older age should be paid attention to the role awareness and behavior.And put forward five suggestions,①parents should take the initiative to improve their own quality through learning,②parents should take the initiative to create a good family atmosphere,③teachers should give full play to the guiding role,④schools should carry out scientific and reasonable training for parents.,⑤News media should play an advocacy role in public.⑥the government should give full play to its promoting role.
