Teacher training is the most effective way to improve the professional quality of PE Teachers. In this paper, the research methods are comparative analysis, questionnaire,interviews,etc and the study is Suzhou and Taipei Physical Education Teachers in-service training.By analyzing the characteristics of each Primary and Secondary PE teachers in the two cities as well as in-service training organization instructors, assessment and evaluation of the merits and other aspects of the similarities and differences, so as to provide useful suggestion to improve the quality and effectiveness of Suzhou PE teachers in-service training.Conclusions are as follows:(1)The two cities of surveyed PE Teachers have participated in job training, indicating Primary and Secondary School PE Teachers in the two cities is relatively high penetration of in-service training.(2)The two cities have developed appropriate laws and regulations to ensure PE teachers in-service training normative; laws and regulations in Suzhou City of credit hours for training requirements are more detail, and the requirements of laws and regulations in Taipei more of appraisal awards are more detail, the two cities have different needs in terms of training to further improve laws and regulations.(3)The two cities of major training organizations are schools, teacher training centers(Teachers Learning Centre) and the Department of Education, but Taipei has more private organizations undertake teacher training, this approach is worth Suzhou City learning from the relevant departments.(4)The two cities of in-service training funds is borne by the school or training authorities, a small number of training funds is borne by individuals alone; Taipei’s the proportion of personal commitment is higher than Suzhou City, which is to improve the effectiveness of training.(5)The two cities of primary and secondary schools PE teachers can recognize the significance of in-service training, and expect to get training in innovative teaching sports knowledge and methods; Primary and Secondary School PE Teachers in Taipei have higher internal motivation than Suzhou city.(6)Suzhou in-service training time is primarily in their spare time, Taipei in-serviceb training time is primarily in working hours; the two cities are in the training mainly focused on training a short time, about 1-3 hours; the number of PE teachers in Suzhou to participate in the training is more than in Taipei.(7)The main contents of two cities’ in-service training are primarily teaching methods and Sports Section expertise which the similar of the two cities PE teachers’ expects; in the training content,Taipei increase the folk traditional sports and current hot(nature, environmental protection), etc. this training content seem richer.(8)The main way of the two cities in-service training are expert lectures, teacher observation of classroom teaching, teachers peer experience sharing. PE Teachers in the two cities on the current training methods are more satisfied.(9)The two cities of PE teachers of primary and secondary schools as a whole are satisfied with trainers and they think the instructor, teaching experience in the field of expert teachers and humorous, infection and strong, good at mobilizing audience are popular.(10)The two cities of PE Teachers to participate in in-service training are only half of the appraisal,and assessment methods are completing the related work, writing training experience and essays.(11) The Suzhou of the development of Education and the school’s emphasis on PE teachers in-service training is higher than Taipei.In addition, the two cities thinking PE Teachers in-service training is general, but Suzhou is more satisfied with in-service training than Taipei.
