The modern vocational education system construction plan(2014-2020) pointed out that we should strengthen the moral education in vocationa l colleges as an important part of the establishment of vocational education quality assurance system and the structural optimization of the higher vocational education, and d iscuss with professional quality as the core of moral education pattern in higher vocational colleges, for building the education model in higher vocational colleges of Guangdong province to provide certain theoretical guidance and practical countermeasures, to promote higher vocational education to better play its education function. In this research, we have analyzed the current situation of higher vocational education and the moral education in higher vocational colleges, and the relationship between them two based on the methods of literature analysis and interview. The results show that there are many problems in the present moral education mode, such as the lack of features, the lack of characteristics of the times and the lack of democratic consciousness, e mbodied in the moral education theory course content boring, practice become a mere formality, moral education media single, management mode fell behind and so on, reflecting that higher vocational moral education patterns can’t promote the development of higher vocational students’ professional quality. Higher vocational moral education is the carrier of professional quality education environment. Both have the same target and function. That is professional quality as the core of higher vocational college moral education pattern can specifically solve to the problems existing in the higher vocational moral education at present, to improve the effect of moral education of vocational students’ professional quality. Proposed to cultivate professional quality as the core of the concept of moral education, to foster professional quality as the core of moral content and to foster professional quality as the core of moral evaluation these three practices in vocational colleges to practice higher vocational college moral education pattern.
