By reading the literature about social network analysis and cooperative learning in this research, we have founded that few researches related to the use of social network analysis tools to group. Therefore, the author combined social network analysis theory and knowledge to carry out study of the cooperative learning grouping strategy based on a social network analysis tool. And we took the sixth grade Chinese class of M primary school for an example.Through the preliminary investigation, we selected two of the sixth grade classes as object of study. And they have no significant difference on the genders, the total number of students and learning level. Meanwhile we conducted a survey of two classes about the situation of group-divided and cooperative learning by observing and interviewing. The author designed questionnaire to collect relational data about the experimental class and used social network analysis tool (ucinet6.0) analyzed these date from the whole network, individual network, the group distribution as the basis of grouping. On the contrary, the past groups were used to consider the results from the aspects of performance, gender distribution and personality factors in comparison class. The same teaching content and evaluating indicators were adopted in the two classes. The irrelevant variable was reduced in this process. The author designed a teaching context of the sixth grade Chinese class whose topic is "Tapping gate of poetry" in the research. After studying and practicing, it is concluded that the experimental class is better than the comparison class from the learning effect and team leaders’performance. And social network analysis tool can be used for class activities. But we should consider with other methods instead of completely relying on it in the future.
