How To Train Pupil’s Autonomous English Phonics Learning By Using Learning Sheet

Facing the challenge of information explosion in the new century, the teacher students’ listening teaching model has been unable to meet the learning needs of today’s students. The updating of student teaching material textbooks can’t catch up with era development. The knowledge taught by the school is insignificant to the individual in the society. If teachers can’t help form students’autonomous learning ability, this group of students will behind the times while they graduate.Therefore, south China normal university, doctoral supervisor, Guangdong institute of education science professor GuoSile put forward in 1999 that education should be changed from the "teacher based education" to "student based education". Pre-task of Student based classroom caused great influence in our country, and learning sheet is the most one. As a higher former of learning plan, learning sheet has been adopted in many schools. Plenty of them found research group about this kind of method and make some interim achievements.This thesis is trying to know difference in phonics autonomous learning ability between experiment class and control class by observational method in order to discover that does the learning sheet have an effect on country pupils’phonics autonomous learning ability. This thesis wants to get the perspectives from students and parents by interviewing method. Then encourage them to keep using learning sheet to guarantee that experiment can go on wheels. After analyzing the data we get in the observation, we can find that students have a big difference in phonics with the help of learning sheet. Such as they can mark liaison, out of explosion etc. in a sentence and while asking questions they use more "Yes or No" than "How". Through interviewing, they show their interests in phonics learning while using learning sheet. For example they are more enthusiastic to preview, to group work and to show in class. They say they can master teaching points firmly and easily with learning sheet. Data shows that learning sheet helps to improve students’phonics attainment, helps students becoming conscious of intonation, liaison, elision and out of explosion, etc. helps to improve students phonics autonomous leaning ability.This thesisis trying to examine the efficiency and inflexibility of the learning sheet to improve students’phonics and autonomous learning ability. Thisexperiment was carried out in 74 students from class 4 and class 5, grade 3 in Tengqiao Primary School. These two classes have the same teachers and the same performance in Chinese learning and English learning. They have similar education background, family economic conditions and abilities. So in the experiment for a semester, I take class 4 as control class and class 5 as experiment class whereI use learning sheet. For the purpose of comparison, I continuously observe students’ phonics learning in "Four o’clock" class in this semester. At the end of this semester, one big oral test inLucheng District is carried out. After testing, I shall analyze the details and the score they get.The results of the data indicate that learning sheet can improve students’ phonics and phonics autonomous learning ability. First, experiment class has a higher score than control class. Second, experiment class can spell more extra-curricular words than control class. Experiment class has higher knowledge migration ability than control class. Third, experiment class studentspronounce more standard than control class while reading sentences.Forth, experiment class masters English learning methods more firmly than control class.In the class, experiment class performance better in cooperation, exploration and communication than control class.In a word, the results of the experiment can really prove that after using learning sheet, country pupils have a big progress in phonics and phonics autonomous learning ability. After using learning sheet, they sound more fluency and standard. They can mark out liaison, elision and out of explosion independently. So I think learning sheet is worth popularization and application.
