Currently, the national education reform and curriculum reform of geography in high school geography teacher capacity requirements continue to increase, while the new high school geography teacher in the early stages of professional development of teachers, professional development of its core competence on future career development will have a significant influence, very necessary for teachers’ professional core competencies for diagnosis.Therefore, the author in this study, the first of "Geography teachers’ professional core competencies diagnosis" to define the concept and analysis, followed by the system based on scientific theory, the theoretical basis of the basic principles of Thailand’s, the geography instructional design and Geography Curriculum and Pedagogy, and based on certain principles and basis to develop a "high school geography teacher professional core competencies diagnostic scale system." Then take the part of high school geography curriculum standards "water on the planet" for example, to develop a "new high school geography teacher professional core competencies Diagnostic Scale." Because geography is geography instructional design teachers teaching activities planning, geography classroom is a more realistic expression. Therefore, this study teaching design PEP "water on the planet," the 12 new teachers for the carrier, the current "new high school geography teacher professional status of core competencies" for the diagnosis. Finally, the current new high school geography teacher professional core competencies in the problems raised Way to Promote.Through the use of instructional design reflects the scale out of geography teachers’ professional core competencies diagnosis, I found that during the current new high school geography teacher teaching objective design, design of teaching objectives and measurement operability is not strong, the lack of contact and three-dimensional object integration and rarely consider student differences; when performing teaching resources development, design of teaching material contents lack of innovation and further away from the actual student; teaching methods during the design, some teachers cannot optimize the combination of a variety of teaching methods, and Some teachers designed teaching methods and the content does not match the key and difficult; during the instructional media design, media design degree of attention is not high, the use of teaching media is single and not part of the teaching of media use for emphasis; during teaching evaluation, new teachers in the concept is not enough emphasis on teaching evaluation, evaluation methods and evaluation of their lack of language diversity.So, I combined a review of literature and research, to address the problem, the author proposes new ways to improve teachers’ professional core competencies from the external environment and the inherent potential of two ways:External environment including the school building supportive learning organization; construction and development of new teacher evaluation system; educational administrative departments organize effective training and other means.Internal environmental aspects include deepen understanding of teaching objectives; enhance understanding and grasp of the subject class; geography teaching methods to match the characteristics and functions; new ideas, designed to ensure the integrity of the media; establish a modern teaching philosophy, attention to teaching evaluation; efforts to develop students in geography teaching resources; various combinations of teaching methods to improve teaching effectiveness; combinatorial optimization, promote efficient media design; diversified teaching evaluation, angle diversity.This study is designed to support the teaching of the new high school geography teacher professional core competencies to diagnose a try, its findings to some extent, the new rich geography teachers’ professional core competencies diagnostic system, but also to some extent explains the current Situation professional core competencies of new teachers, and further enhance their professional core competencies played a guiding role.
