In recent years, the elementary education curriculum reform in China is accelerating, and has achieved remarkable results, which has also significantly improved the quality of education. But behind the achievements, there are still many problems we should pay attention to, such as the disconnection between junior school teaching and high school teaching. The connection between ideological and political courses and ideological and moral teaching has become one of the important projects in the study of high school education. Research on this subject has very important theoretical and practical significance.To improve the teaching effects of the ideological and political courses, it’s quite necessary to build the connection. Building the connection is also in accordance with the characteristics of students’ideological and moral development, and it can enhance the adaptability of the high school students to their study.If we aim to build a proper connection between the ideological and political lessons and ideological and moral course teaching, our teaching objectives require convergence. Moreover, our teaching contents should be progressive. Our teaching evaluation must present the development of teaching. Our lessons must comply with the laws of physical and mental development of students. Ideological and political courses and ideological and moral courses are the same courses in different teaching stages of the division of labor and cooperation.In the past few years, quite a few researchers have begun to attach importance to the disconnection between ideological and political courses and ideological and moral teaching. They have also put forward some corresponding settlement tactics. However, the phenomenon of disconnection between ideological and political courses and ideological and moral teaching still exists. For example, the level of teaching objectives is not strong. The teaching contents in high school become very difficult. Some teachers’ requirement of students’ability is unreasonable. And middle school teachers and high school teachers lack communication and so on. The main reasons why the disconnection exists are the effects of curriculum adjustment, differences in curriculum standards and requirement of the college entrance examinations, students’learning patterns, differences of students’cognitive levels, shallow cognition about the connection from teachers and educational administrative departments,.Focusing on the phenomenon of disconnection between Ideological and political courses and the ideological and moral course teaching, and for the reasons of this phenomenon, we are supposed to follow the following aspects. First of all, teachers and education authorities need to enhance their awareness of the connection, to jointly promote the development of connection. Secondly, based on the curriculum standards and the condition of teaching, we are expected to connect the teaching contents and the teaching objectives. Furthermore, effective teaching strategies must be formed, including the choice of appropriate teaching methods, adjusting the teaching process, innovation of the evaluation mechanism, and strengthening the guidance of learning methods. In addition, we also need to search for a variety of curriculum resources, make full use of the resources of information technology, build platforms of extracurricular practice, construct a harmonious campus culture, integrate a variety of teaching resources, and mobilize various forces to promote the connection of teaching.
