With the reformation of the senior history classroom instruction, there exist more and more contrast studies about the high school history textbook. The content and the perspective is studied widely and hence. The auxiliary system of high school history textbook plays an important role in teachers and students’ daily life. This paper pays attention to the auxiliary system of high school textbooks. It is regarded "Xian Dai version" and "pep" as the study objection. It also analyses the various parts of the auxiliary system.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part introduces lesson plans and the change of textbooks between Hong Kong and Mainland, so that people can understand the background of textbooks. The second part is a general overview of the text ancillary system of the history textbook. It emphasizes the status and function of the text ancillary system. The third part focuses on a deeper analysis in order to get the similarities and differences of two version. According to the result of analysis, the last part evaluates the two versions so that people get inspiration from mainland text ancillary system of the history textbook.By comparatively analyzing the two versions of the text auxiliary systems, the author found that the modern version of historical text auxiliary system is enriched with diversified historical materials and activities, focuses on reducing the learning difficulty as well as intensifying the students understanding, and lays emphasize on the culture of multicultural historical view. PEP texts auxiliary system features with conciseness, thus attracting students’ attention. Particularly "The window of learning and thinking" closely integrates the historical materials with the main body of textbooks, and introduces questions to stimulate students’ further thinking. Two versions of the textbook assistance systems have their own strengths and I hope the present study could provide reference for the future history textbooks writing.
