Culture is the soul and blood of the nation. From ancient to modern times, the powerful of a nation or a country always bases on the prosperity of culture, the Chinese nation still could stand in the forest of the world nations after enduring tribulations, the Chinese civilization still has a strong life after five thousand years, the main reason lies in the extensive and profound traditional culture. It has very important significance to improve the education of Chinese excellent traditional culture, in the The Decision on Major Issues Concerning Comprehensively Deepening Reforms; the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China emphasizes perfection the education of Chinese traditional culture. Although it is only a short sentence, but it is few and pithy, and hit the nail on the head. On the cultivation and practice of socialist core values declares: "Constantly improve the education of Chinese excellent traditional culture, take shape the effective forms and long-term mechanism of loving to learn, loving to labor and loving the motherland, strive to cultivate socialist builders and successors with all-round development", further confirms the importance of improving the traditional cultural education in policy. Excellent traditional cultural education plays an irreplaceable role in enriching middle Students’scientific and cultural knowledge, cultivating the good moral character, raising the noble sentiments, improving the spiritual realm and shaping the perfect personality. However, in recent years, the traditional cultural education of middle school students has not been paid enough attentions; traditional cultural education has little effect. How to carry on the traditional cultural education, how to enhance the sense of responsibility and mission of the middle school students, how to stimulate the vitality, creativity and cohesion of the whole nation, are the subjects that we need to research.This paper is based on the premise of the research on the traditional cultural education of the secondary students which made by the previous scholars, through conducting field surveys, and combining with my own teaching experience, deep excavating the problems of traditional cultural education in secondary students, finally finds out the effective solutions to the problems. The first part briefly introduces some basic theories of the excellent traditional cultural education of secondary students, first of all, the basic concepts of "what is traditional culture" and "what is the traditional cultural education of middle school students" will be redefined, the excellent ideological and political education resources in the traditional culture will be deeply excavated, the significance of traditional cultural education of middle school students to carry forward the excellent traditional culture, promote the comprehensive development of students and enhance the soft power of national culture will be explained. In the second part, on the basis of previous studies, which combines with the experience of my own teaching practice and sums up the problems existing in the traditional cultural education of middle school students, then analyzes the causes of the problems. The third part will combine the current education situation, correct educational idea and unit educational principles, bases on the optimization of three major educational environment(family, school and social), the creation and compilation of traditional cultural classics courses and teaching materials, the innovation of classroom teaching methods, the construction of teaching staff, the reinforcement of multiple support and the realization of organization implementation and condition guarantee, effective countermeasures will be proposed.
