Researches on local curriculum resources merging into the language classroom teaching have had a long time. After unremittingly researching and practicing, experts, scholars and teachers have made a series of achievements in these aspects. However, this issue has not been receiving sufficient attention. Scholars from colleges and universities and researchers from institutions explore the problem from the aspect of macroscopic theory. They, however, take less consideration of the local differences in actual teaching. And even in pre-service and vocational training teaching, few studies have involved in the use of local educational resources.At the same time, due to the high degree of unity of curriculum management system, the education in national primary and secondary education takes on a pathological situation of "schools are all the same and so are the students." Thus values and functions of curriculum resources are ignored, and local educational resources remain to be a dormant status to the large extent, whose unlimited potential is not aroused. Therefore, as the leading wave of the new curriculum, the study of local education resources is particularly important in today’s curriculum reform.This paper is divided into three parts. In the first part, the definition to local educational resources is introduced. Huangmei’s colorful natural and cultural resources are listed. The characteristics of local educational resources are explored. The basis and value of local curriculum resources development and utilization are discussed. The second part is about experimental operation. Taking Huangmei First Middle School as a survey sample, and by analysis of survey data,Huangmei First Middle School’s problems in the local curriculum resources development and utilization are found out, and reasons related to them are analyzed.In the third part, aiming at problems analyzes and reason summaries of the above chapters, the principles should be followed in resources development and utilization of local curriculum are explained, and specific measures raised in the previous chapters are proposed.
