As an important carrier of the Research-oriented Learning of Geography,local geography teaching is an indispensable path to response the Chairman Xi Jinping's speech spirit of “retain nostalgia”,realize the idea of “learning the geography useful for life” and train the students' abilities of analyzing and solving the geography problems.Meanwhile,it also plays an important role in fostering the students' affection of loving homeland and training the teachers' literacy.In this dissertation,some research have been performed by taking the Zhanggong Zone,Ganzhou City,Jiangxi Province as research object:(1)Part1: The concepts and theories related to local geography have been stated.(2)Part2: The profile of the local geography curriculum resource of Zhanggong zone is introduced;(3)Part3: In order to investigate the status of the exploitation and utilization of local geography curriculum resource in Zhanggong zone,we sent out 47 questionnaires for teachers in internet and 136 questionnaires for students in classroom.The results show that:(1)Students grasped some knowledge of the geography conditions of homeland,however,most of them are from daily life instead of from school education,which reflects the deficiency of the local geography education of Zhanggong Zone;(2)Most high school teachers in Zhanggong Zone have some understanding of local geography curriculum resources and admit their value,however,few of them applied the local geography curriculum resources to the teaching processes.The main reasons of this situation can be concluded as the insufficient class hours,no requirements in college entrance examination and huge difficulties in the exploit of the local geography curriculum resources.Then,some advise are presented to cope with this situation,such as the utilization of the high education resource in Zhanggong Zone.(4)Part4: Based on the related education and teaching theories,three research study cases have been designed as a preliminary attempt of establishing the local geography curriculum resources library in Zhanggong Zone,in which the contents of the geography text books used in local middle school and the local geography curriculum resources in Zhanggong Zone are combined and the methods of remote sensing image processing and the spatial analyst and mapping by Geographic Information System are used.The three cases are listed as follow:(a)the relation between the Fu Shou Gou and the terrain of Zhanggong Zone;(b)the Urban Heat Island effects in Zhanggong Zone;(c)the Land Use/Land Cover Change(LUCC)in Zhanggong Zone in recent decade.(5)Part5: The contents of this article are concluded and the deficiencies are pointed out.
