With the complexity tendency of education content and the rapid development of information technology, modern education should integrate education theory,learning theory and practice,and apply modern education technology to teaching comprehensively.Educational technology cultivates students master knowledge and skills efficiently,makes people adjust to the speedy developing society,which provides educational technology a vast prospect. The approaching informatization education of China needs talents in this field urgently.However,low employment capacity of educational technology graduates is common currently,which should be reflected in the aspect of talent cultivation.What problems are there in the our prevalent cultivation mode and how to handle them?The paper illustrates firstly Sino-US educational technology specialty research background and domestic and foreign research status quo. On this basis, the talents cultivation modes of China and America are compared in the following four respects: Firstly,cultivation goals and specifications; then,educational technology talents orientation and change of it in America is expounded from the angle of historical development; after that,educational technology specialty orientation of China educational technology is introduced from discipline home,the number of enrollment universities,master and doctor enrollment specialty orientation;Thirdly, educational technology curriculum setting status quo is compared in which curriculum design, curriculum structure and curriculum guideline are compared and analyzed. Last but not least, employment status quo of Sino-US educational technology talents is illustrated. Job orientations of Sino-US educational technology talents are similar but employment rates are quite different. The problems in our educational technology talents cultivation mode are analyzed comprehensively, then the conception of PIC-CDIO-based educational technology talents cultivation mode is brought up. The conception incorporates clear and definite cultivation goals; flexible and reasonable curriculum setting; accurate educational technology specialty orientation, changing traditional teaching conception,constructing high grade teaching body; and expanding educational technology graduates employment channels. The PIC-CDIO-based educational technology cultivation mode lays stress on professionalism, innovation ability, cooperation by means of protruding practice.
