In the "Full-time Compulsory mathematics curriculum standards (Revised)," it stressed to provide adequate opportunities for students in the teaching of math activities, teacher should guide students to explore independently, and encourage them cooperation and communication. So it is very important for teachers to choose the appropriate modern information technology tools to design rich and interesting mathematical activity. Ipad as a new learning tool should be fully utilized into the elementary school mathematics teaching.The study used literature method, education experiment method and questionnaire method. It makes the students in grade six, Water Springs campus primary school, Nankai District, Tianjin as experimental subjects. Through the analysis of the current situation in China and documents arrange, the study take the form of a group of 4 to provide iPad for teaching. The effects of applying iPad on students’ learning interest, learning motivation and learning strategies, academic self-efficacy and cooperative communication ability were discussed. For schools, teachers and other researchers in the next iPad teaching research to provide some reference, but also for how to better use of i Pad in the classroom to provide a reference.In this experiment the author set the experimental class and the comparative class, the experimental class use iPad to carry on the classroom instruction, the comparative class carries on the regular teaching. Before the start of the experiment and after the end of the experiment, the two classes were measured, and the data were collected and analyzed, then the following conclusions were obtained:through the application of iPad in the primary school mathematics teaching, students’ interest in learning mathematics, cooperation and communication ability, academic self-efficacy sense have significantly improved. In learning motivation and learning strategies, deep motivation and deep strategies are significantly different, and the difference between the surface motivation and surface strategies is not significant.
