The teaching contents related to Cold-War History play an important role in high school history teaching. In this paper, I’11 regard the Cold-War history teaching in high school as the object of study, aimed at making analysis and comparison from multiple aspects to develop academic status from Cold War history, textbooks, instructional design, and doing systematic research on the history of Cold War in high school to provide assistance in theory and practice of history teaching in high school. This paper argues that an important academic status on the Cold-War history determines its importance in high school history teaching. Through vertical and horizontal analyzing and comparing the textbook, it clearly shows us the evolution of the Cold-War history in high school history textbooks, and reflects the application of academic achievement in high school history. Teachers should firstly define teaching objectives, teaching content and some principles and methods students should master, in order to have specific analysis, selection and integration in the Cold-War history content. By specializing in the Cold-War history teaching, I think it is inseparable from three aspects to improve the standard of high school history teaching, namely, correctly handling the relationship between history class and academic achievement, the rational use of historical materials, and rigorous training history teacher sophistication.
