Oral English teaching plays one of the decisive roles in English teaching. It usually can reflect students’ degree of English proficiency and is the most important communication method. Besides, it has a considerable proportion in their achievement, especially to primary school students. Listening ability and oral promotion can benefit from correct oral speaking ability. Therefore, it is obvious that oral English is extremely important. As English is a language, it requires that not only we can write smoothly, but also we are able to express correctly. However, most of the methods of teaching and learning oral English are simple or even boring in our traditional class. English teachers always attach too much importance to the scores instead of the process, ignoring students’ other intelligences and interest. Most of the students are not able to greet others or express themselves. This is a serious problem. The first objective of the New National Curriculum for primary school students is able to greet each other in English and exchange easy information about families and friends. The second objective is that students are able to listen and understand brief stories with the help of pictures, then act them out. The third objective is that students are able to sing easy English songs and chants. Therefore, this study tries to explore students’ superior intelligence on the basis of Multiple Intelligence to make teaching plans. After the comparison between the two classes, I try to know students’ thoughts and opinions to this kind of teaching method by using investigation, interview, class observation and test at the end of this term. I found that students in experiment class not being afraid to open their mouth and become more active in class. What’s more, their interests in English have been aroused and they become more confident when speaking with others. Every time I walk in the school, they will greet me in English confidently and happily. This is the requirement of the New National Curriculum Standard, and is also the significance of this study.
