Curriculum reform is an international focus issue nowadays. It will influence the level of our nation's economic and social development. In order to train new kinds of talents who can adapt to this rapid changing society, senior middle school history curriculum teaching model reform is badly needed.By stating the basic requirements and missions of the present curriculum reform and the problems and abuses of the present history teaching, as well as the challenges that we are facing in this paper, I discuss some basic views on the history teaching reform in senior middle school.Part (1): state the basic requirements and missions of the curriculum reform.Part (2): state the necessity of senior middle school history curriculum reform.Part (3): analyze the deficiencies and abuses in the present history class by analyzing the different history teaching between Chinese history and foreign history separately, the teaching ways of emphasizing knowledge and ignoring ability, the rigid history tests and the history class teaching's departing from social reality, which couldn't embody the history teaching's social functions.some preliminary views on senior middle school history curriculum reform. Teachers should stand at the frontline of the reform, have the creative ideas and could combine them with their history class teaching. They should start from students'learning motive of studying history and make use of the advantages of this subject's moral educational functions. We can use so many flexible and synthetic kinds of class teaching models, such as debating, social investigation, play acting, and paper writing, etc. to show the social reality moral functions of this subject and improve the students'synthetic qualities. According to the students'different qualities, we should adopt different ways of raising questions and ways of assessment to enable every student to again the successful experience.
