Physics is a science, the key to the science is to inquire. In order to change the“test-oriented” teaching method, which is unfavorable for talent cultivation. Promoting and carrying out inquiry-based teaching has become the main theme for curriculum reform. The essence for physics is experiment : it is experiment that makes all the rules and experience verified. In middle school teaching, experiment teaching is very important element, which can directly affect the teaching outcomes. All the apparatus in the laboratory are made by the factory. This comes into a regular, unified experimental mode. This could not only satisfy the need of the students and teachers for experiment,but also could easily fix the thinking pattern, which could undermine the passion of creativity and imagination ability of students. The aim to cultivate comprehensively developed students under the new curriculum could fail. However, the presence of the self-developed teaching tool, completely changes the boring experimental classes, and makes the experimental teaching vivid. It’s complementary to the experimental apparatus as well as influence to the students. It’s a kind of new teaching method, which combines the self-developed teaching tool and inquiry-based teaching together,improving multiple abilities of students as well as the school performance. Therefore, it has very profound historical significance under the current reforming of basic education so as to carry out Inquiry-based teaching.The article divides into 5 chapters. Chartper1 for preamble, it illustrates the background, meaning, current situation of experimental Inquiry-based teaching in the Middle school, and its meaning and importance. Charpter2 for introduction of self-developed teaching tool, from its definition, current development situation,production method, requirement, production steps, so that the importance of self-developed teaching tool can be easily understood, hopefully this could give a little reference to the all the teachers who is working in this field. Charpter3 illustrated the importance of inquiry-based teaching, consists of 2 parts, a) new curriculum reform is inevitable with the help of self-developed teaching tool to carry out experiments; b)with the help of self-developed teaching tool can make up the inadequate of experimental tool; and this could change the studying method for middle school,enhance building of knowledge system for students, inspire the innovation of students,improve the practical ability for students. It can exercise the student beginning ability and practice ability; It not only can improve the students’ innovation ability,but also inspire innovative spirit. Interest is the best teacher, which can fully mobilize students’ learning initiative and enthusiasm of the physics; Teachers and students with that can stimulate the interest of the students, which can well develops the student individuality.It cultivate the students’ cooperation spirit,and improve the students’ personality.It can improve teachers’ professional quality with carrying out it, which can promote teachers’ professional emotion.Charpter4 for two practical cases of using self-developed teaching tool, one is for Hooke law; the other is for Centripetal force, so that the importance of self-developed teaching tool can be self-concluded. Charpter5 for summary, expectation and deficiencies of my research, hopefully more and more teachers will apply my theory into the practical use to carry out the Inquiry-based teaching. Because this can stimulate the students to study physics, fully mobilize the initiative and enthusiasm of students in learning physics, so that the middle school students could learn physics well, make good use of physics, and the school could cultivate more talents for society, and making contribution to the basic physics education of our country.
