It is emphasized in The General Physics Teaching Curriculum standards For Senior Middle School that the aim of teaching physics in senior middle school is to promote the students to learn the physics knowledge by themselves, active to take part, willing to inquire, brave to practice and diligent to think. The word "Inquiry " has become a key word in the reform of the curriculum principle. The systematic study of inquiry teaching began early at the beginning of the twentieth century and reached its climax during the middle of the century. In the past few years many achievements have been made by the educational workers in our country, but it is still in the stage of probing and quite a few teachers still find it difficult to change their traditional educational concept And we also find it hard to popularize it in teaching practice.In accordance with the problems in the teaching of physics experiments, this piece of research mainly talks about the essential study in theory and practice of inquiry physics experiments. The article is divided into three parts. First of all, seeing the problems in experiment teaching and considering the situation in carrying out the inquiry teaching in our country at present, theauthor stresses the necessity of the topic of the article-----Teaching Researchon inquiry Physics Experiments. Then, the author expounds the Physicsteaching in inquiry experiments by learning theory and from a probing angle, reveals its unique function to solve problems in psychology, analyzes the thought to build up the system. And then the author makes a further exponent of the teaching purpose, the design principle, the design method in carrying out inquiry physics experiment, on the basis of the survey of the students and teaching materials and of teaching practice. Finally, the author, based on the research and analysis of today' teaching situation in using inquiry method to teach the students in the author's school, designs a series of concrete teaching cases for the Grade One students( No, 14 Middle School in Huhhot) and puts them into practice. The initial achievements made by all the above attempts are of significant reference for the reform in the physics experiment teaching.
