group cooperative learning is a form of learning in elementary school mathematics class, which is also a learning form for conforming to the requirements of the new curriculum reform and promoting all-round development of people. Students in the process of group cooperative learning, the ability of communication, the sense of cooperation, the ability of solving problem will be developed. Group cooperative learning in elementary school mathematics classr injects a new vigor to the classroom, breaking the previous ice situation that teachers lecture on the platform and students listen in the classroom. So the group cooperative learning is a form of learning which students are willing to accept. Besides, in the process of group cooperative learning, all levels students can achieve mutual cooperation and complementary advantages. So that not only makesthe top students get a further development, but also enables medium students and poor students to make progress under tops’ guidance. Therefore, group cooperative learning can play an effective role in improving the achievement of whole class, so teachers are also willing to adopt. Although cooperative learning is a novel and effective forms of learning, it’s history of existence in China is still short, and it’s theoretical research and practical experience are waited to be perfect, so there exist many problems. If these problems can’t be solved timely, it will affect the smooth progress of the new curriculum reform. This paper will be based on previous studies and try to make a further diagnostic studies to the problems on group cooperative learning, expecting to make a little contributionfor our classroom group cooperative learning developmentThis paper is divided into the following four parts:Part I: Preface. It introduces the research background and research methods of the paper, which includetraditional classroom Group Cooperative Learning Problems;and the meaning of cooperative learning in elementary school mathematics calss.Part II: Literature Review. Mainly includes cooperative learning definition, research description to the problems about abroad group cooperative learningand research description to the problems about domestic group cooperative learning.Part III: Case Analysis. Including the cases with the problems of teachers, students, and evaluation systems. The main problems in teachers are teachers’ organizations, task allocation, and instructor-led and other aspectsthe main problems exist in the presence of students on thought and operation.Part IV: Strategies and suggestions, including corresponding improvement in three aspects: the instructor(teacher), the actors(students) and evaluation systems.
