Teacher is the most important part in the development of education. Teacher education, as the essential way to be a great teacher, which serves as the most important door for teachers` entering and preparing and completion. In today` s teacher education, student teaching connects teacher knowledge and the ability development. Internship is part of teacher education of college, also serves as the entrance of comprehensive education practice. Student teaching has an important impact on the preparing of new teacher.The teacher education of America has gone through a lot of changes, which goes from school of teacher education to college of teacher education, then to the university of teacher education, finally comes to diversification of teacher education. This experience provide an evidence that education determines the economic, in the contrary, the economic determines the development of education. In most of the reform of education, student teach has been pushed to an important role. The model of student teach changes from 2-year divided to 4-year divided, finally to diversification model.This paper discusses the situation of student teach of elementary school of America, which begins from the purpose of internship to the curriculum reform, then to the impact of supporting system and the implement of internship. We can get the real situation of the situation of student teach of elementary school of America. In sum, the change of student teach of elementary school of America goes from close to openness and focus on ability to introspection, then divided model to diversification model. It brings incredible impact on the teacher education of America.Whether the result of internship is good or not doesn`t merely reflect on the quantity of teacher, but also reflect on all the aspect of internship. Firstly, it accelerates the professional ability of new teacher. Secondly, it promotes the mentor`s professional ability. Thirdly, it promote the college mentor`s professional ability. Finally, according to some research, internship has positive impact on the elementary school chidren.This paper chooses the internship of elementary education of college of education of Michigan State University, discusses the professional standards of student teachers and the responsibility of all the internship group, as well as the content of internship and implement of internship. Typically, the paper summarizes three figures of the internship and draws some enlightenment to our country.As a whole, the internship of our country is good, but there is still somewhere need to be modified. Such as the time of internship is so short which couldn`t make interns develop their professional ability, and the purpose of internship is not detailed, therefore interns could hardly follow it step by step, and the responsibility of internship group is not clear. Plus, usually, the mentor teacher of internship of our nation doesn`t have professional experience of mentoring or related treating, who is lack of the knowledge of professional subject, and the ability of communication with interns. Those are the problems while we do and need to be modified.According to the situation of teacher education internship, this paper draws some experience from Michigan State University: Firstly, we should build a multidimensional intern mentor system. Secondly, we should build a multidimensional internship assessment system. Thirdly, we should develop a reflective internship. Finally, we should build a comprehensive internship supporting system.
