Since the 20 th century, the physical science in the macro world, micro world in the field of continuous exploration, its achievements have been rapidly promoted the progress of science, technology and social civilization. Faced with the knowledge of economic globalization, opportunities and challenges in the era of information technology sharing, physical education should keep up the pace, especially as the future of the motherland, the physical education of young people should pay more attention to.As a learning resource of physical education, the content and form of the popular science books are worthy of attention and understanding. This paper mainly through the content analysis method to the present youth physical science popularization books the content and the present form carries on the qualitative and the quantitative research.The first study through combing 2009-2014 adolescent physical popular science books, according to the physical content of the book, divided into youth physical knowledge of popular science books, youth physical experiment popular science books and youth physical history of popular science books, and accordingly selected samples as the research material.The second study samples books for youth physical popular science books as research material, from the contents of the book selected into the knowledge quantity,knowledge of the frequency to carry on the analysis, through the content analysis to explore adolescent physical science books selected into knowledge and middle school physics content settings. Through the analysis, the conclusion as follows:(1)The content structure of the adolescent physical popular science books mainly contains three main topics: "matter", "movement and interaction", "energy". Further refine the scope of the home, can be found that most of the knowledge points are mainly of the two level of "mechanical movement and force", "sound and light " contains therange of knowledge.(2)Adolescent popular physical science books to be written content are mostly concentrated in the level of subject "matter", "movement and interaction", "energy", and the interaction between the movement and the theme contained in knowledge appears the highest frequency. Further refine the theme, the two themes of the mechanical movement and the power of the highest frequency of knowledge points.In short, the content and structure of youth physical popular pscience books overall structure and high school physics curriculum setting correlation is very big, and elected to the content in majority belongs to the junior middle school physics curriculum content, less of it is part of the high school physics curriculum content.The third study samples chapters adolescent physical popular science books as research materials, visual elements from the book content text, pictures, layout structure to analyze, through content t analysis to summarize the characteristics presented in the form of books, also by way of questionnaire survey to examine the students on physical popular sicence books presented in the form of demand. Through the analysis, the conclusion as follows:(1) The book title and text use more rigorous and unified text form, and other small columns with diverse forms of text, and the results of the questionnaire display adolescents are more favored in the title of a diverse and has the characteristics of the text form. The number of words in each page of the book is 200-400 between characters,this and the needs of readers consistent.(2) The use of drawing pictures in the book, the second is the photographic image and geometric image, which is consistent with the needs of readers. In addition, the number of single page pictures of popular science books is the most, and the second is the science of physics.(3) The layout structure of a book divided into two: first for the layout of text share is greater than the share pictures, but gap is relatively large; the second is the layout of the text for share is less than or equal to share pictures, but the gap is relatively small.In short, the young people’s physical popular science books show a variety of forms, and each with its own characteristics. Through the questionnaire survey and found that most popular with teenagers presented in the form of: large segments of text take up space, at the same time, there are a lot of pictures on the text placed, the text in the layout for the proportion and pictures had little difference.
