The Outline of Chinese Education Reformation and Development point out that, "we need to attach great importance to pupils’ education of the excellent traditional culture and the nurturance of cultured behaviors." Nurturance education is a teaching model that aims to guide pupils’ behaviors and cultivate good habits for them. Ye shengtao said: "what is education? To put it simply, education is to cultivate good habits." He added that "the teacher’s duty is to help students to develop good habits and then to help students to develop good habits on scientific culture from basic education to higher education." Nurturance education relates directly to the growth of pupils. Therefore, we must attach great importance to nurturance education.In China, although lots of experts on education and scholars on other fields made great contribution on nurturance education, there were a few researches on pupil’s nurturance education. However, the pupil’s nurturance education directly reflects the basic situation of their good habits. At the same time also can produce subtle influence to elementary student’s good behavior habits.This paper depends on the research by combining the questionnaire with interview on the pupils’ nurturance education situation of 6 primary schools in Shihezi City, Xinkiang Province. This paper focuses on the basic situation of pupils’ learning habits, life habits, health habits and civilized habits. The author seeks out the problems on present nurturance education of primary schools in Shihezi City by analyzing the questionnaire datum, analyzes the deep reason of nurturance barriers and its influence, puts forward a resolution to improve pupils’ nurturance education.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction, which mainly makes a preparation of related literature survey and important concepts that directs the study orientation by introducing the literature review of pupils’ nurturance education and the definitions of nurturance education, good habits and so on. The second part is the analysis of present nurturance education, which focuses on the design and distribution of questionnaire. At the same time, the author give a insight into the cultivation environment and the basic processes of pupils’ nurturance education and the basic situations and cultivation forms of pupils’ nurturance education by combining questionnaire with interview. The third part is the analysis on the problems and impact factors of pupils’ nurturance education from the pupils themselves, the schools and the parents, particularly from the pupils, the companions, the family education,the schools and the society. In forth part, the author puts forward the specific resolution to pupils’ nurturance education from pupils’ nurturance, teachers’ guidance, parents’ behaviors and multi-approach social cultivation.
