With the advent of the information age, the acquisition, dissemination and application of knowledge all has witnessed a great transformation and the wave of information has a full range of impact on education. People gradually realize that traditional classroom teaching can no longer meet the needs of learners. A new way of learning with fusion of traditional classroom teaching and online learning advantages has appeared ——Blended learning. Blended learning can effectively optimize the learning process and promote the educational reform. Thus it has received an extensive attention by foreign and domestic scholars. As the current mainstream communication tool, the platform of WeChat enjoys a particular popularity among large numbers of learners because of its diverse function, rich content and convenience. This study has selected WeChat as the technical support platform to research the Blended learning mode and it has been carried out from such aspects as follows:First, read relevant literatures, elaborate research backgrounds, and analyze research status quo of Blended learning and WeChat.Second, make a detailed analysis and summary on definition and connotation of "blended learning" in light of current research results. At the same time, this study also explores the theoretical basis of blended learning, thus providing a theoretical basis for the building of Blended learning mode.Third, analyze the function of WeChat platform and unearth its educational function. For its high interactivity, diversity and convenience in the way of informational expression, the WeChat platform can effectively support the implementation of information learning, autonomous learning and collaborative learning.Fourth, construct WeChat learning mode on the basis of existing blended learning mode. The mode is divided into three sections comprising front-end analysis, learning activities design and learning assessment. Then selecting and designing learning activities as well as implementing teaching on the basis of learning objectives and characteristics of learners. Finally, using diversified methods of evaluation to carry out the learning assessment.Fifth, apply the Blended Learning mode based on WeChat to the course“ Digital photography camera” and verify the feasibility and validity of this mode to analyze learning effects. It turns out that Blended learning based on WeChat application in teaching can be conducive to knowledge learning and mastering. Additionally, this mode of learning can effectively increase the interest of learners and improve learning outcomes.Sixth, summarize the conclusion of this study and point out deficiencies and limitations in the study. Educational function of Blended learning based on WeChat platform can be tapped in the further study through continuous optimization and the enhancement of theoretical knowledge learning.
