Influenced by the teaching value of functionalism and ethics, student’s memory of knowledge is over-emphasized in Ideological and Political Education courses of high school. And the internalization and application of knowledge are also ignored so that students are lack of creative spirit and practical ability. In order to improve the teaching effect of Ideological and Political Education courses in high school, the curriculum reform of the new elementary education has started in 2001 and the new curriculum standards has been put forward. The characteristics of practical and open has been advocated in the new curriculum standards. Besides, it advances interactive teaching method and inquiry learning method.[1] With implementation and continuous progress of new curriculum standards, inquiry teaching has become one of the main teaching method in Ideological and Political Education courses of high school. However, lack of theoretical support, some doubts and shortage of application exist in the practical teaching. Therefore, based on the previous findings home and abroad, the thesis discusses the problems that will be faced in Ideological and Political Education courses of high school from the perspective of Inquiry Teaching. The research includes three parts with some teaching cases in detail. And at last, some solutions are put forward based on the research.The first part is an introduction, in which the research background, research objective and research significance are expounded. Besides, based on the study of the relevant information system in this field, many features about Inquiry Teaching of Ideological and Political Education courses in high school are also deeply analyzed.The second part is the key to the research. On the basis of investigation, the three objectives,the four principles, as well as the methods and process of implementation about Inquiry Teaching of Ideological and Political Education courses in high school are respectively discussed in detail.In the third part, the problems which are faced in the implementation of Inquiry Teaching are concluded on the basis of the above studies. What is more, the strategies of Inquiry Teaching from three aspects, namely, giving more creativity to teachers, learning from the past experience and daring to to find innovative ways for teaching, are mainly explored. So this part is the difficulty of this research.By analyzing the interaction between the Ideological and Political Education courses of high school and the Inquiry Teaching, the thesis accordingly seize the development logic of them correctly based on the new curriculum reform. Under this guiding ideology, we could see the physical truth of the Ideological and Political Education courses of high school and perfect the construction of the course. This thesis proposes new directions under the combination ofIdeological and Political Education courses of high school and the Inquiry Teaching: the development of Inquiry Teaching is still at the starting stage in the Ideological and Political Education courses education work of China and the relevant theory and practice will get a further perfection and improvement.
