| As a kind of new teaching model, the flipping classroom use modern network and technology to reform the traditional classroom teaching. Through the teaching structure being turned upside down, this teaching model reconstructs the teaching structure. It flips two teaching stages in traditional instruction which conclude knowledge transfer and knowledge internalization. The stage of knowledge transfer is completed before class when students do autonomous learning. The stage of knowledge internalization is fulfilled in the class with teachers. This teaching model makes teachers teach students in accordance of their aptitude and really realizes the personalized teaching which has important implication for English teaching.Flipping classroom teaching model started relatively late in our country with a narrow scope of implementation. In order to make the English teachers better understanding of this new teaching model, in this paper, the teaching characteristics of the flipping classroom were expounded emphatically, and on the basis of the research,the related English teaching practice study in junior middle school has been done.Literature method and comparative method have been used in this research. Based on the typical cases at home and abroad, through a practical experiment to an English class of grade two in a local ordinary junior middle school, with pretesting and post testing in the form of questionnaire and language test, data will be obtained and analyzed.Some benefits and disadvantages have been analyzed in the research. At the same time there is a continuous improvement in the teaching process. As a new teaching model,flipping classroom realized the innovation of the traditional teaching model. How to make effective application in this teaching model and make learners get benefit from it are two important things which should be attracted English teachers’ attention and careful thinking. |
