As network technology develops, network resources have become an essential for teaching assistance. The study provides an analysis of surveys from front-line Chinese teachers and source sites to give a full picture of network resources usage in Chinese course teaching at middle schools so as to use resources more efficiently.They study took two ways to research, one was sampling survey for source sites,the other one was contributing questionnaires among Chinese teachers of three middle schools in Emei city. From the survey and the questionnaire study, a large number and various ways of using internet teaching sources can be applied in teachers’ work, and easy access to these sources enables teachers in consulting and study. Meanwhile,teachers’ needs for diversity in network resources since their work in researching,teaching process, extra-curriculum activities and self-study. Gradually, internet has been becoming a new tool assisting teaching. Whereas diversity brings instability in quality, with some limits on its depth, which restricts further development in teaching assistance. With weakness of internet application, some teachers cannot make full use of network resources, which gives room for their class teaching improvement. Also,some of teachers are so relied on the internet that they ignore students’ condition, thus their misunderstanding towards their teaching skills leads to failure in teaching.The paper mainly focuses efficient ways of using the internet and effective suggestions from teachers, and then combines practical teaching materials to discuss strategies of using network resources in middle school Chinese teaching. It claims the basic rules of using the internet from theoretical perspective: needs leads teaching,define clear teaching using aims, ensure accuracy. Then gives out requirements for users: better ability to cope with information and technology, building up database for the whole and every individual, strengthening communication with teachers and students, and upgrading individual ability and creativity.From the prospective of practical teaching, with consideration towards various teaching purposes and contents, provides varied ways of using the network resources combining practical teaching. For instance, choosing and selecting existed materials and apply them to teaching; processing and altering raw materials from the internet to embody them to theme teaching; motivating and inspiring students themselves to collect materials they want, and organizing exploring and self-studying.The study is organized by the order of teaching process, which combinesexamples and theories. This gives teachers the essential strategies of activating network resource materials and choosing the materials practically needed. For instance, before the classes, teachers can make preparations such as studying,collecting and locating contents from academic and intellectual websites. During the classes, multimedia resources can evoke students’ curiosity for context on the textbook, while related resources can assist group works among students. In addition,related materials can provide students further understanding of texts and broaden their horizon. Students can share their feelings with teachers after class, which offer a platform for everyone to do more extensive reading and writing.Lastly, the study presents the concept of mixing class teaching and extra-curriculum activities together, which can renew the traditional class teaching. It illustrates teaching process of a reading text named Thunderstorm to give further explanation on it.
